There are times when we feel we are an extra. We are not in the main picture. Maybe, we are feeling we are taken for granted. People are just using us. There is no gratitude. Then, I feel, "I am an extra".
But, extra is just a perception. It's a measure of our expectations. Reduce or destroy expectations, and the work you did for others will not have any need for appreciation. You will call it a service. Service does not seek, it merely gives. In service, everyone says "I am an extra".
We all in fact are an extra to others. The only central thing for ourself is our own self. Life is too short. Just lend a helping hand, give a smile, and live with the attitude, "I am an extra".
